Capio supports Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)

Capio has today donated one million SEK to the organization Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). The funds will be used for emergency relief to the many people who are fleeing in the largest refugee disaster in Europe since World War II.

"The immediate humanitarian relief is literally vital. We want to be part of this. Equally important is to ensure that the people who get a new homeland also integrate quickly into the new society. It involves housing, language and work but also openness and mutual respect. We can as individuals help by our own potential, open our homes and families and thereby also increase our understanding and the new arrivals understanding of our society's habits, rules of life and function", says Thomas Berglund, President and CEO of Capio.

"We are extremely grateful for Capio's generous gift. It will help vulnerable people fleeing from some of the worst humanitarian crises of our time. The gift is an important support in our efforts to provide healthcare to those who risk their lives in the Mediterranean to reach Europe, to those who are still in conflict-ridden countries and to those living in refugee camps", says Mari Mörth, Secretary General of MSF.
